the best way (as always) is to load an original vehicle and take a look at material settings. I assume you will need a sort of semi-transparent texture to be applied and mapped for the glass, as regular material-only transparency techniques will not work in game.

additionally, but not a must, a per-vertex color could be the key. some games respect per-vertex color and per-vertex alpha for transparency, so a tinted semi-transparent glass could be created. And again, referring to original models could help you find a solution yourself.

P.S. a destination game was not specified, and it's impossible to give you a solution when target rendering game engine is not known.
