Error when importing Skin models

Postby 3DEnergy » Fri Nov 10, 2017 9:35 am

I've been having an issue when importing Skin models into Zmodeler2. Everytime I import, I get this exact error message:

Code: Select all
Error: AutoSeek (begin at 0x5C622) position rescue  from 0x5C622 to 0x7FE9A. Total 145528 bytes misread.

I've tried importing original GTA San Andreas Skin/Ped models into ZModeler, and I've also tried importing many Skin mods created by others to see if I get the same error, but I always get that exact error no matter what Skin model I import.

I can import the models, edit them and then export them, but due to the error, it seems to corrupt the Skin model file and thus it fails to work ingame.

To put it simple: ZModeler doesn't seem to be able to import Skin models correctly without corrupting them. I've also tried using previous version of Zmodeler, but even the other versions give me the same error. The current version I'm using is ZModeler 2.2.6 Build 981.

What could be the cause of this? and is there any way to fix this?

That's a shame. In that case, does ZMod3 support skin files? Although it seems ZMod3 doesn't have a GTA SA .dff filter, which I find odd, unless you're working on a filter for .dff files?
