iorange are you willing to continue working on your tool for reimbursement? There are quite a few people that would like to see HP modding become a reality. This game could be the next High Stakes if the formats were cracked.

I am sure we could even get a donations bin going with proceeds being paid to whoever comes out with modding tools.

I am not able to download the attachment. It gives the following error.

Can you please give another download link.

iOrange wrote:Small update to my tool.
New version (0.2) is attached.

Changelog:
* Textures now extracted with mipmaps (if any)
* Models now extracted with normals and uv-mapping (uv-mapping in test version  )
* Extract All now extracts models too
* Overall stability fixes

PS. I'm still working on importing resources back to game bundles.

can we please get an update on this filter ..and in the very least, a separate by materials import option?

would be nice if we could choose the import dds directory as well, force pulling from the .bin alone on each import leaves the mesh missing a LOT of textures

not to mention, if we save the textures and add a directory for them, the directory won't work --> viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5439
and having to compensate for that little (big) bug, means we can't close Zmodeler until we've re-textured the entire model and worked out the uv channel import bugs

please

Any chance of looking at NFS The Run?

Bummer. I would even be willing to pay for someone to make tools for that game. Would be nice to have another decent game to mod for a change.

Nope, seems like it's not going to be supported anymore.

Just wanted to see if this project was abandoned or still in the works. HP has a lot of potential, would be nice if someone managed to get a working exporter and importer. iOrange's tool definitely looked promising.

That car is worth the filter!!!! However even PC plugin for HP is I think unfinished, loaded cars have messed textures, weird materials and part names, scale of models is wrong (they are too little).

sorry, PC games only.

Post by Ram » Mon Mar 28, 2011 2:42 am

this is xbox version , dds texture open in XTX script

Post by toolieo » Mon Mar 28, 2011 2:11 am

I would edit my post...

@Ram: That is a Xbox 360 file the textures are not the standard .dds when extracted etc. Thats possibly why it won't import into Zmodeler.

Just wait till someone has the PC version. I don't think Oleg would support Xbox Shift 2 before PC.

Post by toolieo » Mon Mar 28, 2011 2:00 am

*drools* mmmm shift 2 modding I can smell it.

Thanks for the share "ram" :)

here pagani in shift 2
http://narod.ru/disk/8624431001/Pagani_C9.bff.html
in quickbms extract ok bt in zmodeler2 not open (out of memory)

Haha ok, I dont dare to say.

3D Ripper needs alot of tools and I cant bother with that.
And it also doesnt work on Vista.

Thank you in advance Oleg !

Your Zmodeler series have been always on time equipped with filter for each of the newly released NFS game, it`s seems like tradition

@Murrchachosa: Don`t even dare to say ! :P

Absolutely painful, thankfully Dolphin does display them correctly, despite harder was to match up exact rotating of model itself, to get good result

In fact, the only reason I want to direct-import these is the fact, that models done in that way have better quality. Okay Oleg, since the files seem a bit messy, I`m just asking, would you be able to make a filter for Shift2 when it does come?

Ah ok, im sorry for my previous post.
Your models were succesfully ripped.
But the ripping with 3D Ripper seems to be painfull.

Post by Oleg » Wed Mar 23, 2011 11:22 pm

I can't claim that certain filter will be made, but I can say that I'll at least look into deep of each particular game format when it's possible. shift2 is surely in a list.

There are already Wii models on NFSCars.net.
Someone succeeded to rip the meshes the Wii version.
Ask him, maybe he will do it for you.

And btw, why in the world you want Wii meshes?
They looks too low resolution and the quality is so bad.

Hello Oleg,

Now I have something very interesting to you. Below are attached extracted models coming from the Wii version of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. The example is 'Ford Taurus' model.

I really hope you do succeed into researching the format, seems it`s unknown XGSM format, it might turn out as being packed one, since I`ve found geometry and texture data in it.

If you succeed, this will be awesome.

I asked this before but received no answer.
